The Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC
From February 12th- 28th, the whole world will have their eyes on Vancouver, British Columbia where the 2010 Winter Olympic Games are taking place. From hockey to curling, biathlon to snowboarding, countries all over the world will be cheering on their teams and hoping to take home the gold. Make sure you tune in to cheer on your countries athletes.
End of Recession?
A new year means a new chance. There is a lot of buzz from the financial world saying that there is a possibility that the U.S recession will end or at least slow down come 2010. The U.S Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke stated that he believes 2010 will be ‘The year of recovery.’ Keep that in mind when shelling out the big bucks for your New Year, new you wardrobe.
New Phone Obsessions
Face it. Deep down inside you know that your precious shiny new phone will probably be an embarrassment by the time 2010 rolls around. Technology is constantly advancing at warp speed and everyone wanting the latest and the greatest, 2010 will not disappoint. Cell phone companies are saying that the majority of phones will have a touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. More excitingly, Samsung has announced that they are expecting to launch a water-powered cell phone by 2010 that would fuel a battery for up to 10 hours.
A Fresh Start
A new year allows all of us to have a slightly cleaner slate. It isn’t a do over but it is a good starting point for changing things in your life. You can now start to think about your resolutions and how dedicated you want to be to them. Whether you have resolutions to loose weight, quit smoking or just be a better you, you can look forward to planning for your own changes for 2010.
