She has plenty to distract her -- from rippling abs to strutting suitors -- but Jillian Harris, star of ABC reality series The Bachelorette, managed to show her Alberta roots on Monday's episode, hearting fans of the Calgary Stampede.
Harris, the Vancouver interior designer who hails from Peace River, Alta., took one of her would-be paramours to a western clothing store, and revealed that she's a bit of a country girl at heart who "does the Calgary Stampede" every year. And since this is the Bachelorette, she later hopped up on a bar for an impromptu moment of exhibitionism, fulfilling, she said in her fun-loving way, her "Coyote Ugly dream."

It was a small moment, but one that Alberta fans have waited for since last week's premiere of the series, in which 30 men compete for her attention. Alberta-based bloggers jumped on the moment.
"Jillian fulfills her dream of doing a Coyote Ugly dance atop the wood. Entirely unnecessary...but Jill is fabulous..so let the girl live her dreams..especially when she casually drops that she goes to Calgary Stampede every year. Nicely done Jill....way to represent!!!!" wrote The Rose Report blog, prefaced, of course, by "God I love this show."
"That's our girl," wrote blogger KLo. "She likes her some country music."
Later in the season, Harris will likely return to Canada to introduce the finalists to her family, which now lives in Kelowna. But who knows? Maybe we'll get another Alberta moment.
