I had to go up to the North East to the Lawyers (for my commissioner of Oaths thing). Actually it was more North and not so much East. But anyway on the way back we needed to kill time cuz skier had somewhere to be for 1pm so we were driving though everything on our way back to the South - which included a trip though downtown, china town, etc. Just killing time really.

The ambrosia salad my grandma used to make were with her brandied fruit that had been soaked for like a year. It was the same fruit she used for her holiday fruit cake. No wonder everyone was so festive! I have yet to eat a really savory pumpkin pie

ha ha...thats my old stomping grounds...or more accurately, where I owned my first house...
Its a decent enough neighborhood...little rough on the edges due to the fact its a place where people buy starting homes or rent...
And although its physically in the NE quadrant in the city, its considered NW from a livability point of view due to the fact its west of Deerfoot...
