I try.

The stupid thing around the bottom just ripped it apart so I had some difficulties keeping things under control. One of the guys came to my desk and was like "what the hell, did a pumkin bomb go off?!"

Yeah I'm having a good morning, LOL.

ya there would usually be a large mess under my desk by the end of the day if I made a few tim hortons runs or went to mcdonalds..I would clean up the big stuff but leave the small.....it was nice after having to clean up other peoples **** for 10 months for somebody to clean my space..even if it was just a 10 foot desk hah

I loved it..I wish I could of got another receptionist type job after..but I got laid off the day before I went on vacation..so was away for over a week after that...and just had to jump at the first thing..so went to retail

That reminds me of one Valentines day YEARS ago when I worked at Canon. One of the girls brough in some festive confetti and put it all over everyones desk. Then she got carried away and decided to play tricks people by putting the stuff in peoples boots and pockets while they were away from their desk.

By the end of the day the stuff was all ove the floor.

The cleaners were mad and left us angry notes.

haha yeah I am generally really good about keeping my desk clean...except for today with all the pumpkin loaf on the floor. It's going to be so bad by the end of the day with me rolling my chair around and walking all over it

I'd keep doing it until you get an angry note.

I never understood that. They cleaners always used to get mad about the occasional mess we'd make on the floor that was easily vacuumed up. Cleaning was their job and they always had a little fit about it.

I have to clean my own desk..the only thing the cleaners do is empty garbage and vacum..not such a hard job!

The again...the building is ...huge

I used to clean my own office - mop, sweep, dust, take out the trash, etc.

The cleaners did not like me and came up into my office to "clean" maybe once every 3 months

I think they vacum every night...but i have to do everything else for my desk..
i dont touch my cube mates side either...there is always like a line of dust where her side meets mine and i refuse to clean it

I'm not sure how much they vacuum around here and I'd rather clean my own desk generally.

I appreciate them emptying the garbage and taking away any cafeteria dishes though.

I'm making my desk here pretty nice.

I have a purple, white, pale yellow veined orchid in a black pot, an african violet on a green leaf shaped platter and a variegated fern in a green urn style pot. Then my lovely selection of teas next to that little garden...

i was wondering if i would get in trouble if i covered my cubicle walls with a nice fabric... or paper... would be much better than the beige crap on there now...
