I wear a scarf when I'm on my bicycle to keep my hair out of my face and also so I don't get a sunburn in my part, lol.

I don't see the big deal either. There are many reasons to wear a scarf. Mine in the summer....... it's easier to store then a hat and I don't want to get sun stroke again. ONCE per lifetime is plenty. Religious/fashion reasons aside, who CARES what a person wears on their head? It's not YOUR head, you choose what you want to put on it.

When I wear one..my daughter calls me Old Biddy. lol

Hey, and they are D&G, Hermes and Gucci scarves!!

So, I stick to wearing them around my neck or waist like the flight attendants do.

I just wanted to support my sisters, though not in religion, in this world.

As long as you don't force other people who don't want to wear them to do so, then it shouldn't be a problem. In France, in Turkey, anywhere......... Its not the same as insisting on carrying a knife around or something........ Why such fear?

for the record I don't believe in forced hijab either. It should be the individual's, ie the woman's, choice.
