Description: DJ Eleven began his career in Oakland, CA as a founder of Local 1200, a crew that includes the most sought-after club DJs in the Bay Area. Working and living in New York City for 10 years, Eleven uses his large, diverse music collection and extensive experience to keep crowds moving in the hottest nightspots on both coasts, everywhere in between, and around the world.
This DJ’s greatest strength is his uncanny ability to get any crowd out of their seats and keep them dancing all night long. His wide musical range allows him to spin sets including Hip-Hop/R&B, Breaks and Rare Grooves, Disco/Funk/Soul, Reggae, ‘80’s, and House, with the skill that brings party people back for more.
DJ Eleven has rocked hot spots in London, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas and held down residencies in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Miami. He’s a resident at and founder of The Rub, alongside DJ Ayres & Cosmo Baker, which was recognized as the “Best Party in NYC” by the New York Press and the “Best Party in Brooklyn to Dance Sweatily to Smart Music” by The Village Voice. In addition to touring all over the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Caribbean, and South America, The Rub and it’s official mixCD releases have received press in The Fader, Giant Robot, Blender, Spin, and Vapors, to name a few. And, to top it all off, Eleven has had to chance to DJ alongside such notables as DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier, DJ Spinna, Lord Sear, Mighty Mi, ?uestLove from The Roots, DJ Apollo, Qool DJ Marv, DJ Evil Dee, Tony Touch, and Grandmaster Flash.
