That's not true, I've been sent a letter from the Alberta Queens Bench Court house, they can take you to court and guanshee (sp?) wages to make you pay, both alberta premiums (seen a friend be warned court action too) and the ambulance fee. The ambulance fee I finally fought because I DID argue and say no to their services and they told me to go anyways because they'd make it so I didn't have to pay.. then I got a bill anyway. Anywho, fought it after the courts sent me a letter and I won so it wasn't a big deal, but they CAN make you pay it. At least in alberta anyway.

Lets see i have no idea what i'm talking about , so yes i just made it all up , obviously you went about in the wrong way , go read the Canada health act from front to back. I'm telling you under the Canadian health act you can not be forced to pay premiums there is a loop hole . You may have been sent a letter but as for having to legally pay it , if you do your homework you don't have to . As for your ambulance ride if they told you they could make it so you didn't have to pay and you got a bill ,it depends on how bad you annoyed the medics on rout.

attitude much? Just saying what the government of alberta, and the court people, you know those kind that can sort of.. make you pay out the rear or put you in jail or confiscate stuff said. Not everyone knows how to fight stuff, and not everyone wins, I'm not going to tell my friend not to pay cause she doesn't have to when I've been told by the government that you have to.
