Global Warming is a myth. Please people read the Science, not the summery of the science by politicians and bureaucrats whose jobs depend upon the continuation of this myth, or the words of reporters- the laziest people in the world.
Global warming may be a myth, but an impending fuel crisis isn't. You want to see something bring an economy to a grinding halt (so to speak). I don't give a $hit about palm trees in Canada. Come to think of it, maybe I'll farm coconuts from my Canadian home.

You can say that again....as long as it does't require fuel to run your little farm operation, then you'r safe. The crises of the 70's will seem noting as compared to the oil shortage of the future that is of sure!

Everyone seems to forget the 70's crisis. I remember bringing home "save energy" booklets, and "carpool together" campaigns from school. I look around now and see people driving gas guzzling 1/2 ton trucks with one person inside. Lights that stay on in office buildings all night, but people don't want to think about all that. They'll think about it the day that they pull up to a gas pump and someone says "there's your rationed gasoline" or "sorry, we're all out". I think that people think (hope) that problems of that proportion just go away, sort of like AIDS. It's a bit of an ostrich approach.
