This relates to the hijack i did on Lisa's thread. Only positive input THANKS! haha Anyways i feel like i'm a pushover..like i enable people to treat me poorly becasue i always say yes or am so easily swayed. At this point i do get annoyed and angry with it if it happens but..it always happens again. For example..if someone asks me to come out on a Friday night and i have no money etc. With very little prodding i can be swayed to go...becasue i get guilt tripped. How do i stop this insanity? I know i need to learn to say no..but it is much deeper than that.. i can say no..but i cant stick to it..

you just need to think of you...and WHAT you wanna do. It is just about saying no. I dunno what to say to make it better...but i was a person for example with going out who would always say yes...but now, even if its the hottest party and everyone is going...if im not in the mood, ill say no. something just hit me one day...and bam.

I'd say, I'd really love to come but I can't afford it. If you want me to come it's going to be your treat this time... and I'll get it when I can.

I used to be the exact same way, it took me a lot of years to learn that it is okay to say no. I was always worried about hurting the other peoples feelings, then I woke up one day and "wtf! What about MY feelings?!?!" From that moment of realisation, I have had no problem saying no, but I also offer a reasonable explanation as to why I'm saying no. I'm honest about things... "I just don't feel like it tonight, sorry", or my most common one... "I'm sorry I just can't afford to right now".
