then this young girl comes- and she did the same

i could decide if they really didnt notice, didnt care or were have a little laugh

I'm not sure about that, i only know the saying 'taking the piss' which can be meant 2 ways ....

1, somebody having a joke at your expense

2, somebody taking advantage of you or taking liberties with you/ a situation.
