To call Colin Dale "Legendary" is no over-estimation, here is a man that has been one of London's most cutting edge DJ's for over 20 years and he still continues to marvel. Music has always been a big part of Dale's life, even before Colin left school his friends included Fabio, Grooverider, Dave Angel, Jumping Jack Frost and Bryan Gee all individuals who went on to be top DJ's in their respective scenes. For Colin it all began in 1982, working as a banker in the city of London he began to warm up for Hip Hop supremo Tim Westwood at the cult Gossips nightclub in Soho playing cuts like Soul Sonic Force, Strafe, Shannon and Donna Summer.

In 1985 Colin was one of the key members of the pirate radio station Kiss FM and soon after left banking to pursue a career in music and the "Abstrakt Dance" radio show was born. For 16 years Abstrakt Dance was a ground-breaking show which quite simply bought techno to the masses. Guests on the show included Richie Hawtin, Dave Angel, Stacey Pullen, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Derrick May and Carl Cox to name a few. The show was put on the internet in 1993 and Colin became a household name in techno circles worldwide. Abstrakt Dance was the first ever techno show to be transmitted live with visuals and it was revolutionary.

Production wise Colin has recorded for Perfecto on their very first LP, Obsessive, Logic, Sensei, Visitor, Abstrakt Dance, Swag and Laus amongst others. He has also released 7 well received mix compilation LP's for various major record labels. As well as being a regular guest at clubs such as Fabric, Rex, Pasha (Buenos Aires) and Love (Brazil), Colin has toured the world's clubs extensively from Japan, China, Russia, Australia right through to Eastern Europe, Colin is a favourite the world over!

Looking back Colin has played some of the world's best parties including Dance Valley, Full Moon, Tribal Gathering, Sunrise, Energy, Love Parade and Rage @ Heaven. Fast forward to the present day and it's all systems go, there's the new revamped Abstrakt Dance record label and web-site, residencies at Fabric, Indigo, Herbal, Sumo and Abode and lots of new music productions plus a new studio in London. Also there is the first ever DJ management agency that specialises in the world of the digital DJ called "WildLife" this DJ agency features artists such as Sophie Oliver, Dave Mothersole, Pure Science, Jacksonville, Transparent Sound, Mark Dale and Tomoki Tamura.

On Wildlife Colin had to say "We are really pushing all the new technologies like Ableton Live, Traktor and Final Scratch, but don't worry I haven't turned my back on vinyl, there's just so many other just as usable sound sources that it seems a shame not to use them." Currently, Colin is sponsored by Allen & Heath DJ mixers (certainly an accolade of recognition if ever there was one) and is also featured in the Sony publication "All time 100 DJs." Still as busy and popular as ever these days Colin's sound is still tough and funky with blissful shades of electro and tech-house, this REALLY is going to be one party you do not want to miss!

Don't forget, you no longer have to be out & about to be social, kick start your weekend with our [socialise] DJ's bringing you the entire spectrum of underground house as well as updates on future parties and related news.
