One of the most common questions asked about our events is not only what kind of music is going to be played but also what the show is like. Because that's what we do. We put on a show. It's not just a DJ hiding behind a laptop and some turntables. It's much more. It's a spontaneous jam session between musicians, producers and DJs. It's also a place where you'll here original tracks by local and international talent. The music you can't buy anywhere...yet.
From 9pm to 12am is the "live" portion of the night. This is the time where you can here MCs ignite the mic, tabla players and percussionists using their hands to talk to one another, producers doing live and spontaneous beat programming, flute players doing things you've never seen before and DJs cuttin' and scratchin'.
From 12am - 2am is where the DJs cut it up and work their magic playing their own latest creations as well as droppin' tracks that might be a little difficult to categorize but so easy to get into. The music itself spans the globe. From Latin rhythms to Bhangra beats. Funked out future soul to AfroBeat and electocised (is that even a word) Hip Hop and House. But I guarantee that the music you hear will be a little different than what you heard the night before. Something for the forward thinking music lover.
This isn't your typical venue and these are not your typical players. So if you've always been one to think outside the box and are getting tired of the same old thing...this night should be right up your alley.
