Degree has taken his early love for HipHop, Dancehall, and Reggae and applied it to dance music of all genres. He has rocked parties alongside some of the worlds best. Playing a unique combination of Dancehall, Bmore, Booty Bass, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Electro and HipHop he has played alongside and opened for ZTrip, Craze, Flosstradamus, DJ Hype, Diplo, Top Cat, Afrika Bambaattaa, Krafty Kuts, The Rub, Deekline, Demolition Man, DJ Assault, Freq Nasty, Guns & Bombs, DJ Mehdi, Ghislain Poirier, Andy C, ShyFX, Stanton Warriors, South Rakkas, Pendulum, Goldie, and many many more. Degree has proven time and time again he has what it takes it rock out with the best of them. As well as DJing Degree has produced original music for reggae/dnb label Congo Natty, a full length album for Waxworkz, and a remix of reggae band Dubmatix for 4eva recordings. He has also banged out some heavy remixes in which the one production gained the attention from M.I.A herself asking for the remix and stating "the production is natural and I feel like I supposed to be on this". Degree also holds down Edmontons hypest weekly dance party “Oh Snap!” every Saturday. The night has seen the like of Flosstradamus, Krames, Dj Assault, Dave Nada, Mat The Alien and many more. Degree started off 2008 by taking first place in the Red Bull 3style Competition In which he played 16 genres and 16 songs in 15 mintues. As well as mixing the "2008 Sound of Jeepney" mix CD for Jeepney clothing out of Seattle [ www.jeepneyclothing.com ]. The mix has had amazing reviews being sited by some of the scenes best including Diplo, Jokers Of The Scene, Dave Nada, Mat The Alien, and Bird Peterson. As for the rest of 2008, watch out for the debut LP from Gold Brix on indie imprint Future Excite and Degree tour dates of the freshest dance parties in Canada and aborad.
