On every last friday of 2008 The "Release The Beast" Band Competition will take place at the Annex Wreckroom (794 Bathurst St.). Jagermusic is looking for the next band to sponsor to join the likes of Protest The Hero, Ill Scarlett just to name a couple. This competition is like no other before it, and offers incentives in terms of prizing, judges, crowd giveaways & atmosphere that are one-of-a-kind and very generous. "Release The Beast" is open to Canadian, independent 19 plus bands and its an opportunity that no band would want to miss out on especially since the sign-up is free!

To add to the fun, a TRAVELLING FREAKSHOW WILL BE PERFORMING & MCING THE NIGHTS in between sets and before and after the bands perform. The Great Orbax is a circus sideshow stunt performer. The Great Orbax Sideshow perform authentic circus freakshows as entertainment. These performers dare to defy the boundaries of skill and common sense by re-creating classic freak show stunts from the 30' and 50's in a comedic and vaudevillian atmosphere. This show has been seen on Showcase, the Discovery Channel and TLC.
