Take a six hour side by side set by the most dynamic DJ duo in history (Sasha & John Digweed), mix in three hour individual sets spun back to back by two of the world’s top talents (Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Buuren), put a razberi on top (DVDJ set by Sander Kleinenberg), garnish generously with an incredible supporting cast and serve it up in style on seven acres of spectacular sights and sounds in the middle of Downtown L.A.’s soaring skyscrapers... Behold GIANT MAXIMUS! And, just for fun, we’ve added the MAXIMUS MIDWAY… carnival rides, acrobats, stilt-walkers, roaming entertainers, game booths (complete with big stuffed animal prizes) and, of course, the very Giant Ferris Wheel!

Sasha and John Digweed (6 hour set)

John Digweed had been DJ-ing for ten years before getting a gig at Renaissance where he met Sasha, who had been working the past few years in various acid house clubs and raves. Together, he and Sasha honed their DJ skills, focusing on track selection and technical mixing abilities. In 1994, they released the triple CD mix album Renaissance - The Mix Collection on Renaissance Records. It contained many popular dance hits of the time from artist such as Leftfield, Fluke, and 2 Bad Mice as well as original productions and remixes from the duo themselves. Two years later, the duo became "true superstars" (AllMusic) with the release of their double CD Northern Exposure on mega-label Ministry of Sound. This release was brought to the United States the next year in a single CD package on Ultra Records. 1997 saw the release of the Northern Exposure 2 double CD mix album, again on Ministry of Sound. Sasha and Digweed toured internationally, helping define the sound of trance music in the late '90s.

Having worked in the music industry for over 17 years, Dutch Ferry Corsten has earned the respect from fellow Dance Music Producers, DJs and fans all over the world for his commitment to bringing quality music through his signature electronic dance music productions and numerous DJ sets worldwide.

Armin van Buuren (3 hour set)

Armin van Buuren is a happy man, and with good reason. Holding firm at Number 3 in the prestigious public-voted DJ Top 100, he’s making the transition from talented young upstart to leading light in the echelons of trance – and beyond. 2005 has brought two new significant awards (Best Radio Show, and Best Compilation for A State of Trance 2004 at the Miami Winter Music Conference Awards), and a stunning new artist album, Shivers, showcasing his debut as a songwriter.

Sander Kleinenberg (3 hour DVDJ Set)

Sander's star is currently on the rise, with him currently holding down monthly or seasonal residencies at the world's top venues, including Space in Miami, crobar in New York City, and many others. His remixing career has also recently caught the attention of pop-star Justin Timberlake, who has commissioned Sander to do club remix and production work on some of his more popular tracks in the song Rock Your Body.

The Architects of Sound

Long story short, we're going BIG. Given the growing anticipation for the line-up we've assembled we're moving the GIANT New Year's Eve celebration to a more suitable (bigger) location as we introduce... GIANT MAXIMUS!

Presented by Stoli, this proverbial 3 Ring Circus features three flavors of heated “Big Top” mega structures. The 4500 capacity “Blueberi Big Top,” the 3500 capacity “Ohranj Arena” and the 1500 capacity “Razberi Ring” are centered ‘round a common courtyard to create a climate controlled destination for 10,000 party people!

Each Big Top and the MAXIMUS MIDWAY will feature a specifically produced video countdown and the three Big Tops are strategically positioned for sound isolation with custom stages for the biggest line-up on this planet!

We've configured a 7 acre site right off 8th Street and Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles - 3 blocks from the Bonaventure. On that site, over the three days leading up to New Year's Eve, our productions team will build three adjoining "big to" heated mega-structures creating an indoor capacity of 10,000 on one level, unlocking your ability to roam freely within the event.

The common courtyard created between the three Big Tops features the MAXIMUS MIDWAY with two carnival rides, the GIANT Ferris Wheel, rows of authentic carnival “games of chance and prizes,” three massive performance cubes featuring highflying acrobatix and a variety of roaming stilt-walkers, jugglers and assorted psychedelic circus antics.

The 3 mega-structures, each strategically positioned for sound isolation, will feature custom stages for the biggest line-up on the planet - including lengthy sets by Sasha and John Digweed, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Sander Kleinenberg and more - all on one night!

The common courtyard between the mega-structures will feature one of the largest Canary Island Date Palms in addition to our famous GIANT Ferris Wheel, massive bars, food concessions and an array of amusements.

Arriving by air? Book your flight into LAX. The event in downtown Los Angeles is just 30 minutes from LAX.

Coming from San Diego or Orange County? Take Amtrack's Pacific Surfliner train service to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. You're just a 5 minute taxi ride from GIANT MAXIMUS at 8th and Figueroa.

Driving? GIANT MAXIMUS is just 1 block off the 110 Freeway, in the middle of the Downtown Financial District. Parking is available for over 5,000 cars.

Metro? Take the RED LINE to 7th Street / Metro Station and you're just 1 block away from GIANT MAXIMUS. Trains run all night on New Year's Eve.
