BROOKLYN BOUNCE
a.k.a. DJ Bonebreaker
Mental Madness, Germany

DJ Dennis „Bonebreaker“ Bohn is the producer of Germany´s favourite dance icons Brooklyn Bounce. He is the artist behind hits like “Get Ready to Bounce“,“Loud & Proud“,”Bass, Beats, & Melody“, and “Crazy“ Brooklyn Bounce is a mulit-platinum songwriter and one of the most important persons in the German dance business. Brooklyn Bounce´s great comeback with “Bass,Beats & Melody“ (Top 3!) and their fourth album “Restart“ were a wonderful climax to an exceptional production career. A career, that of course still goes on today.

We’re proud to have our close friend and resident party-rocker back once more for another unforgettable evening!

DJ ISAAC
X-Rate Records, Holland

Born in Winschoten in the northern part of Holland Roel “Isaac” Schutrups started his music career as a remixer for Dutch radio stations with an oldschool tape recorder and a small Casio sampler. Through the years he bought new and better equipment and started to develop his own unique style of production which resulted in his first record called "Bad Dreams" which was released in 1995 and became a huge hit. He is credited as being one of the pioneers of Dutch Hardstye. He then began remixing tracks for artists like Mauro Picotto, Cosmic Gate, Brooklyn Bounce, Safri Duo, and Marc & Claude. Together with producer Michiel Van Der Kuy he also contributed four tracks to Alice Deejay’s ‘Who Needs Guitars Anyway?’ album, one of the biggest gold and platinum selling electronica records worldwide.

Perhaps his biggest contribution to the music industry however was the release of “Thriller”, a cover of Michael Jackson’s classic of the same name. Recently Isaac also remixed "Nobody Likes The Records That You Play". Those records aside “Nobody Listens to Techno” also deserves special mention. The latter was the cause for a major lawsuit by Eminem and Interscope for using uncleared samples from his single “Without Me”, proving that, yes, even while he and Obie are stomping Moby, even Eminem still listens to techno!

TATANA
Sirup Music, Switzerland

Dubbed Queen of the Swiss Trance Scene, whenever this 26 year old Czech gets behind the turntables, she draws the crowds in like no other. As female producer of hits such as ‘Dream Off’, ‘End of Time’ (with DJ Energy), and ‘Words’, she has garnered status in Switzerland’s premier trance league. English magazine ‘M8’ enthusiastically wrote: ‘The way she builds up her sets is wonderful; to see Tatana mixing is the dream of every music knower’.

At the beginning of the Swiss techno and house movement, Tatana was dancing the night away at parties and so came into contact with many influential people in the industry which led to her releasing tracks on Liquid Records with German star producer Torsten Stenzel (Taucher, DJ Sakin & Friends) and later with The Mystery aka Ron Van Den Beuken.

Her Trance compilations have earned Tatana many major awards at home and across Europe and after having a Tatana CD thrust at us at Sinful followed by much insistence that we should bring her to Canada, we are very proud to showcase this dynamic performer at Freeze.

PHILIPPE LAM
Boodang, United Productions, Edmonton

With nearly 7 years of DJ’ing experience, Philippe Lam, formerly known as DJ Ambiguous, knows how to rock the crowd. From humble beginnings as a manager at KAOS Nightclub in Edmonton to residencies on local radio show Smooth and weekly sets at Everafter, this DJ is not to be taken lightly. During this time period, Phil's passion for DJ’ing had inspired his younger brother Dave into the scene and soon there after Dave picked up the trade as well.

Being affiliated with Boodang and United Productions, two of the largest production companies in Alberta, has opened many doors of opportunity for Phil. Currently a resident DJ for these companies as well as being a resident at Fever Nightclub, Philippe can also be seen at shows all over western Canada and hopefully the next step will see him taken around the world. Having played along side many local and international artists and working hard night and day in his studio, he hopes to reach the ranks of these legends some day soon.

DAVE DFEKT
Boodang, Strikt9, Edmonton

Dave is a young ambitious DJ, and has become Alberta's prominent poster boy for Trance and Progressive with a dream to introduce and help create a better understanding of Trance to Canadian clubbers.

At the present time, Dave's renowned reputation has allowed him to share the turntables with many international acts such as, Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Johan Gielen, Judge Jules, Above & Beyond, Darude, Infected Mushroom, Rank 1, and Benny Benassi. He has opened for Godskitchen in Edmonton and the year 2006 marks a significant year for Dave as he holds a special guest residency in western Canada's largest club, Fever Nightclub.

With a special opening set from Vancouver favorite

GREG C.

That's right, he's back on the main stage and he's come back to the Dark Side to lay down some Progressive Trance the likes of which he hasn't spun since the Plaza of Nations

///Stage Two
Electro // Breaks // House>

DJ SPLIT
Beatfreakx, Breakbeat Odyssey, Calgary

In the beginning, Split started playing next to his best friend, and now one of his biggest influences in the scene, Chris Hastings aka Gemini. It came as a surprise when Split chose a completely different path to walk in terms of his style of play. In a time where Trance and Hard House seemed to rule the night, Split jumped into the somewhat quiet Funky Breaks scene. Playing a wide variety of Breaks, from UK Funky, Florida, Tech, as well as some of the most Electro-influenced Breaks around, Split's sets are always diverse, and there's always something for everyone to enjoy.

Though his style has naturally changed over the years, he is still sticking true to his first love and the love of Electro. These days you can hear a wide variety of the best Breaks, Tech, and Electro House around. Don’t miss out on a chance to see this DJ in action! With a smile from ear to ear, he excites every dance floor he plays on!

ANDREWZ
Molacacho Records

Although living right here in Vancouver, we felt this DJ deserved special recognition. For a long time now he has been overlooked and has yet been given the opportunity to play any major events here at home, but already his talent as a producer has been recognized internationally. With his debut release on Molacacho Records alongside production gurus Red-Eye and Mike Balance, this DJ is poised to take flight.
