Benny Benassi hails from ggio Emilia, an Italian village about 100km south of Milan and produces with cousin Alle, who is a musician and arranger at Off Limits with the production studio run by Larry Pignagnoli.

Benny was a massive fan of the eighties electro scene, inspiration from acts like Kraftwerk and artists such as Giorgio Moroder. “When I began my DJ career,” he explains, “I was a massive fan of 80’s electronica, and it’s great to see that sound becoming so popular again. Clubbing was becoming a bit tired but now the dance floors are full of energy again. Everywhere I play “SATISFACTION” the reaction is crazy and it’s great to see such a wide range of other DJ’s feeling it too.”

When Benny isn’t in the studio, he tours the world rocking clubs and events with his unstoppable energy. His DJ style is easy to describe…. it’s kinda electro, sort of house-tec, dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth… Just the way we like our main rooms! CARGO is excited to welcome Benny Benassi to play his first set at an all night show that we couldn’t call anything else but SATISFACTION!

Technotronic - The beat and the look that conquered virtually every HIT-LIST throughout the world, and shook the international dance community to its foundations. Technotronic was the restless offspring of innovative Belgian producer Jo Bogaert (a.k.a. Thomas De Quincy). He expertly devised the now all too familiar sound of Technotronic in his humble attic studio about 20 miles north west of Brussels. He had already made his mark on the "Eurobeat" with various high-profile dance concepts such as "Nux Nemo" and "Acts of mad-men".

As the first devastating bars of "Pump Up The Jam" permeated through the air-waves and night-clubs, lesser mortals instantly realised - here was something new, exciting and floating high above competitors.
