It's the only club in DC that has a live flamenco show every week. Featuring dancer Mariya (or Ginette Perea or Sara Jerez), singer Gerard Moreno and guitarist Miguelito. Shows at 8pm and 9pm.
Cafe Citron, generally known for its Latin-inspired cuisine and cocktails, shifts the spotlight from the dining room to the cafe's intimate stage to showcase one of the most beautiful Spanish art forms: flamenco dancing. Every Monday night a three-piece band, led by guitarist Miguel 'Miguelito' Perez and vocalist Gerard Moreno fills the cafe with rhythmic rumbas as a collection of flamenco dancers moves gracefully across the stage in flowing, elaborately decorated dresses. There are two shows -- one at 8PM and another at 9PM and the café offers a late night happy hour for the flamenco crowd from 7PM until close. Grab a seat at one of the tables or at the bar and enjoy a caipirinha or a glass of sangria as you take in the show. A running tradition at Cafe Citron since 2001, Flamenco Night is sure to kick off the work week in fiesta-like style.
DJ plays international music afterwards until closing.
