Pendulum is an Australian Drum and Bass group originally from Perth, Australia. In 2003, they relocated to the United Kingdom.

Pendulum first released, with the 31 Records record label, a track entitled 'Vault' in 2004. While this track met with widespread underground recognition, it wasn't until 2005 that they released their debut album, Hold Your Colour. Critically, the album was well-received in both the United Kingdom and Australia, receiving plenty of air-time on radio stations around the world. In addition, it was one of the biggest selling drum and bass releases of all time. Pendulum have also collaborated with the Freestylers, releasing the single "Fasten Your Seatbelt". MC Spyda and Tenor Fly also feature as vocalists on the song "Tarantula".

At Pendulum DJ sets in Epsom and also Warwick University Student Union in early 2007, it was announced that their new album would be available at the start of November 2007. However, it was later announced on BBC Radio 1, that the album was to be released Q1 2008 during a phone interview with a member of Pendulum. The latest album, titled In Silico, was released on 12 May 2008, the day after they played at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Maidstone, Kent. The second single from the album, "Propane Nightmares", is their biggest hit to date, peaking at #9 in the UK Singles Chart. On 30th July 2008 the band performed live in Jo Whiley's Live Lounge where they played their current single, "The Other Side", and also performed a cover of Coldplay's "Violet Hill". The performance was very well received by listeners who made numerous requests for the cover to be replayed on subsequent DJ's shows throughout the day. Pendulum then made the single avaliable for download on their official website.

Pendulum have announced another UK tour after success in the UK, this will take place in November/December 2008. They also performed on Linkin Park's biggest Projekt Revolution gig to date in Milton Keynes on Sunday 29th June.

On 6th August 2008, to coincide with the launch of their new site, Pendulum released a cover of Violet Hill by Coldplay. The cover was recorded as part of a Live Lounge performance on BBC Radio 1.

The bright, neon lights of Las Vegas can be heard within the rumbling breakbeats and metal-edged synth melodies of the electro duo known as the Crystal Method.

Together Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland steer their custom vehicle of electronic music into riffs of futuristic rock 'n' roll. Taking the elements associated with the U.K.'s big beat generation, the Crystal Method enhances this style of stomping funk with a pinch of American spice.

Those bright lights of America's modern-day adult playland would seem to inspire anyone to become something loud and colorful. That influence reflects the early ambitions of Jordan and Kirkland and their endeavors to make mind-bending music.

The two met while working for a college radio station in Las Vegas where Run DMC, New Order and Depeche Mode were mainstays of the regular rotation. The duo became interested in music production and recorded some lo-fi demos on a four track with a female lead vocal.

Figuring he could find a faster way to the top in Los Angeles, Jordan left for the City of Angels, where he landed a job as an assistant producer for artists Edie Brickell and Michael Penn. There he found the necessary studio experience he needed and the necessary nightlife experience he needed; L.A.'s underground scene exposed him to the flavor of West Coast nightclubs and the freaky funk being tossed about by rave DJs.

Meanwhile back in Las Vegas, Kirkland began taking guitar lessons from Mark Slaughter of the metal band Slaughter, learning power bar chords and the philosophy of establishing a listener-friendly hook. Keeping in touch with Jordan, Kirkland fed off of what his friend had been telling him about the psychedelia of L.A.'s club scene and went to check it out for himself. There and then the Crystal Method was born.

The bombastic grooves of Vegas, the group's first full-length release has been likened to the Chemical Brothers' brand of breakbeat mayhem. Yet the Crystal Method madness is cut from a more acidic quilt, where synthesizers squelch and sirens buzz and the vibe is all about crowd-pleasing intensity. Highlighted by the tracks "Trip Like I Do," a different version from that of the collaboration with Filter for the Spawn soundtrack, and "Keep Hope Alive," a Chemical Brothers essential big beat favorite, the album manages to capture the same raw power of rock 'n' roll with electronic components.
