EVENT DETAILS

Saturday, Sept. 6th
Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Tom Colontonio

Sean Tyas, a New York native, now residing in Switzerland, brings to the dancefloor a mix of melodic harmony and driving groove that is sure to be just as effective on the legs as it is on the heart. He got his start in 1999 with his first set of Tech-12s and started to learn how to mix music. But for him, this was not enough. In the coming couple of years, he put together a studio and began producing records as well. By the age of twenty six, he has already remixed artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, Moby, Daniel Bedingfield, Christina Milian, and PPK. During this time he got his start into professional DJing with clubs in NYC such as Shelter and Exit. Moving to Europe proved to be a great move for Sean, doing all production for DJ Beam in Germany and building his experience as a studio producer. Eventually Sean decided to step away, concentrated much more on his own productions and remixes. "Mirella" was the product of this exodus, as it was promptly signed to Afterglow Recordings, seeing John Askew and Dave Joy remixes. This led to a follow-up remix of Duderstadt - Muhanjala, which has seen almost every playlist of any trance DJ this year, including Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk. Sean's remix of Beam - "On your Mind" proved to be another HUGE club smash. Caned CONSTANTLY by the likes of Paul van Dyk, John O'Callaghan, & Armin van Buuren, this remix essentially locked Sean in as one of 2006's more endeared talents in the genre. The hype on his first Discover single "Lift", was even more amplified by Sean's winning of the Sander van Doorn - Punk'd Remix Competition, beating out over 250 other remixes. In 2006 on the DJ side of things, Sean has hit the ground at a running pace, and by now in 2007 he has already played in many international locales, such Norway, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, England, Ireland, Scotland, Poland, Argentina, Australia, Ibiza, Indonesia, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Italy, and of course America. Now as 2007 continues on, he has 2 new originals already on the release schedule of 2 of the genre's foremost labels, One More Night Out (Armada) and Drop (Discover). In addition, he has already done a plethora of remixes for labels such as Anjuna, Yakuza, Vandit, Armada, & more.

With a background based in the music business that belies his years Simon brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to his work behind the decks. Having built a solid reputation as a tastemaker for Radio 1 Djs Seb Fontaine and Judge Jules, Simon has gone on to forge his own career in club land, becoming both a sought after Dj and producer/remixer.

Playing a tough, intelligent blend of deep tech-trance and tough roof blowing tunes from the worlds best production houses Simon is forging a serious career in dance music. It is as one half of remix/production duo Dogzilla that Simon is creating a path with a new and futuristic sound that is filtering through to the more intelligent dance floors on the trance scene. Taking elements of cutting edge electronic and melding them with rock has created rapturous enthusiasm from the likes of Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold and mentor Judge Jules.

Dogzilla have just finished the follow up to Without You which is called 'Frozen' and are about to start work on an album and live show which will be touring in 2007.

Mr Patterson will also be releasing lots of new solo excursions, plus following up the massive F-16, which entered at number 15 in the DMC buzz chart and was played twice in one night on the BBC Radio 1 essential mix. The follow ups takes the sound further and show all the influences that people have come to expect from Simon. Panic Attack & Strip Search will be available on Spinnin in April 2007. Simon is also about to embark on a new vocal project this year.

The last five years has seen Simon travel across the globe rocking many of the worlds better parties. Highlights include the Rotterdam Street Parade in front of 500,000 people, Sunrise Festival in Poland, Monday Bar Cruise in Sweden plus regular appearances at Judgment Sunday in Ibiza, various far east tours to China and in Russia where Simon played at an indoor event for 20,000 Muscovites. Last summer saw Simon grace the worlds stages at Dance Valley, Sunrise, HI-FI, Planet Love, Mexico Stadium. Plus various dates at Judgement Sunday, Dubai, Malta, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Canada, Germany, Cyprus. Not to mention the countless support from UK clubs in between.

Tom Colontonio has had music flowing through his veins since the age of 11. By age 14 Tom had already moved into the studio as a musician. For years Tom studied all types of musical genres from rock to classical but he soon found his true passion in dance music. In 1996 Tom picked up his first set of turntables and never looked back. Tom spent years as a DJ developing his technique and by late 1998 he was introduced the sound of trance music. Being a native of the Philadelphia region, Tom has played at some of the biggest parties and most prestigious clubs in the region. Tom has performed at events alongside artists such as NUNRG, Marco V, John O'Callahan, Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Cosmic Gate, Mark Norman, Infected Mushroom, Activa, Andy Moor, Filo & Peri, Marco Picotto and more.

As a producer Tom has found himself at the forefront of the global revolution of dance music. After getting his start as a producer a little over 3 years ago Tom has now entered into the industry as an artist that is receiving acclaim from artists all over the globe. Tom has now signed many tracks to labels across the world and has new releases forthcoming for the rest of 2007 and beyond. Recently Tom has been working on productions with other artists such as Sean Tyas, Activa, John O'Callahan, John Askew and more.

Now armed and loaded as an artist on both Discover Records and Conspiracy Recordings this year looks to be the break out year for Tom as a world wide recording producer in dance music. Look out for Tom's latest productions and tour dates for 2007 and beyond.
