Europe’s Best Blues Pianist explosive Dutch singer and pianist Eric-Jan Overbeek better known as Mr. Boogie Woogie will be kicking off the first leg of his Arizona tour with a weekend concert at one of his favorite Tucson venues: The Gaslight Theatre. Also accompanying him from Holland will be guitar-virtuoso Raymond Nijenhuis aka the infamous “Guitar Ray”. The lineup will be completed by renowned Tucsonian musicians Steve Grams on bass and Ralph Gilmore on drums.
This concert will feature songs from Rhythm & Blues’ best known artist’s such as Ray Charles, Ike Turner, B.B. King, Dr. John, and Allen Toussaint all played in Mr. Boogie Woogie’s unique and energetic virtuoso style. And of course true to his name audiences will be amazed by his pounding left hand and lightning speed as he delivers a classic boogie woogie or two.
