On Saturday, July 26 starting at 8:00 p.m., musician Allison Crowe performs in Toronto’s Heliconian Hall, “a visual and acoustic gem dating from 1875” ( http://www.heliconianclub.org ) This be the first performance by the acclaimed and much-loved singer-songwriter in Yorkville - where musical kin folk made the Village scene in the '60s.
Allison Crowe has just returned to North America, following concert dates in Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt, Prague and Scotland. She proved a sensation at the 'John Lennon Northern Lights Festival' in Scotland: "Canadian angel Alison Crowe gave one of the weekend's most magical moments," says The Scotsman, Scotland's national newspaper.
Festival Director Mike Merritt describes Crowe as "awesome" and "spine-tingling", noting her performance in the Highlands "put hairs on the back of your neck! She brought the house down."
