It's the only club in DC that has a live flamenco show every Monday. Featuring dancer Mariya (or Ginette Perea or Sara Jerez) and guitarist Miguelito. Shows at 7pm and 8pm.
Cafe Citron, generally known for its Latin-inspired cuisine and cocktails, shifts the spotlight from the dining room to the cafe's intimate stage to showcase one of the most beautiful Spanish art forms: flamenco dancing. Every Monday night a flamenco duo led by guitarist Miguel 'Miguelito' Perez fills the cafe with rhythmic rumbas as a flamenco dancer moves gracefully across the stage in flowing, elaborately decorated dresses. There are two shows -- one at 7PM and another at 8PM and the café offers a late night happy hour for the flamenco crowd from 7PM until close. Grab a seat at one of the tables or at the bar and enjoy a caipirinha or a glass of sangria as you take in the show. A running tradition at Cafe Citron since 2001, Flamenco Night is sure to kick off the work week in fiesta-like style.
DJ plays international music afterwards until closing.
