T. POWER -=DIGITAL SOUNDBOY=- (DNB, JUNGLE & DUBSTEP) + B. TRAITS & MORE took place on Saturday, December 08, 2007 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM
at Cyber
in VANCOUVER BC. More details on the event are below.
Marc Royal gained standing in 1991 with hardcore techno group Bass Selective, the went on as a solo artist. His works "Horny Mutant Jazz"and "The Self-Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind" are regarded as masterpieces of ambient-jungle music. Mark¡¯s early roots were based in hip hop in the UK, and his love for breaks and hard hitting rhythms spawned his exploration into the world of Electronica ¨C techno, jungle/d&b, experimental jungle, and club/dance.
T.Power moved into Jungle as it was spawned out of hardcore rave. Wanting to avoid the increasing politics within the scene, he began to produce experimental drum and bass, culminating in the seminal Self Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind. Following from this, came the next album Waveform. Less accessible, it carried his experimental tracks further into the leftfield. He himself proclaimed it as "self-indulgent".
Partnering with Shy FX, he began to producer "happier", more party-oriented, jazzy drum and bass - Shake Ur Body, being the clear example. Long Time Dead was released, cementing the return to dancefloor-oriented drum and bass and breaks.

Psidream is commonly regarded as one of the fastest up-and-coming drum & bass producers in North America.
His music has been supported by many of the world’s top drum & bass DJ’s, including Andy C, Bailey, Ed Rush, Dieselboy, Zinc, L Double, and Pendulum.
In 2002, Psidream begun releasing his music on prolific labels such as Nerve Recordings and Breakbeat Science. The popularity of these releases inspired a U.S. tour which lead to various collaborations with Evol Intent, Mayhem, Infiltrata and MC Mecha. Around this time, his collaborations with Mechwarrior were being released on Renegade Hardware's brand new sub-label Barcode Recordings.
Psidream started to collaborate with fellow Vancouver producer Pacific in 2005 which led to a 12" on Ryme Tyme's highly respected 1210 Recordings, as well as a track on Barcode's first album "Us Against The World". Shortly after, Psidream released "Zero Hour" and "Stomping Ground" on Renegade Hardware, which led to the chance to remix Dom & Roland's techstep classic "Trauma". A collaboration with Mayhem called "Unsung" was also heavily supported and released on Optiv's label Red Light, which lead to 2 more releases with the label - most notably the recent "Magrathea" / "Quasar" (Red Light 012). Also expect to see various collaborations released over the coming months with artists like Bulletproof, Dose, Teknik, Menace, Chris.SU, Optiv & Axiom, Xplorer & Dee Pulse, Mindscape and Jade.
At the moment, Psidream's main focus is working with Pacific in setting up their label Nightfall Recordings. This will serve as a consistent outlet for their best work and focus on the nasty future funk side of things.
Outside of the studio, Psidream has been consistently headlining events for years, having toured extensively in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, as well as sharing the stage with various top drum & bass DJ’s including Pendulum, Bad Company, Ed Rush & Optical, Chase & Status, Gridlok, Noisia, Dom & Roland, Hive, Evol Intent, and Concord Dawn.

To simply mix two records can easily be accomplished by almost anyone, but to put the dance floor into a hypnotic state of movement and emotional backlash is an art form all to itself. This art form has not only been admired, but closely studied and refined by Vancouver's youngest female DnB DJ, B.Traits. Born and raised in Nelson, B.C., B.Traits discovered her adoration for music at a very early age. It was this love that drew her to the sounds of the underground, constantly pushing her to quench her soul. In search of a creative outlet, she picked up a turntable and a small pair of headphones and began her journey to pursue her passion for underground music at the age of 16.
In 2004, after relocating to Vancouver, BC, B Traits began to make a name for herself as she assaulted dance floors all over the Pacific Northwest. Her emotional persona of chaos and desire, fused with the heavy beats of Drum n Bass has now led her to the vanguard of the underground music community.
At the age of only 20, she has played alongside DnBs finest from the shores of the Pacific Northwest, to the streets of Eastern Europe. After joining the Formation Records camp, she then teamed up with with MC Kay to form LTC (Ladies Take Control). With her record bag stuffed with plates and headphones blasting conventional thought, B. Traits is poised to take the world by storm. Be sure to catch B.Traits & Kay as LTC on the World of Drum & Bass Tour 2007.
