Sat July 16th IMU & CiTR present Innocent Bystander, MUSA, Astoria, Dan Politano + Mark Of The Beats at PAT's PUB, 403 East Hastings Street - (604) 255-4301
INNOCENT BYSTANDER - fresh, raw and edgy, with melodic harmonies to crunchy riffs, and powerful pulsing bass gives their music diversity and range.
MUSA is a religion, if not something of a higher nature, pure symphonic bliss with elements of hardcore, punk, emo and rock.
ASTORIA - Influenced by post-punk and indie rock, Astoria has crafted a new sound for the new millennium: slashing guitar, solid drumming and emotive bass lines. Their anthemic lyrics challenge listeners to awake from their modern day slumber and embrace life.
DAN POLITANO's new rock-powered CD was recorded at Mushroom Studios with Juno Award winner John Webster and a trio of top notch veteran players: Randall Stoll (Tom Cochrane, kd lang), Tony Marriot (Jeff Buckley) and Lanny Hussey (Ginger). Hailing from Victoria, Dan's powerful, soulful songs have been embraced by more than 40 college radio stations across Canada.
MARK OF THE BEATS - Vancouver's one-man laptop-based smorgasbord of sound! Mark of the Beats' live shows range from spontaneously-remixed DJ sets complete with freestyling, costume changes, extended guitar solos and food fights to intimate acoustic singalongs. Strong rhymes, blown minds, good times!
