:: ABOUT THE ARTISTS ::
DIE MANNEQUIN is punk/sleaze/glam rock in all its inglorious power, fronted, created and fused into life by the fractious, freaky and sometimes frightening twenty-two-year-old, guitarist, writer and singer Care Failure. Found by EMI Music on the streets of Toronto at age seventeen, living a destroyed life of semi homelessness, drugs and outrageous live performances, she has been given time to develop her hard riff song writing skills and the results were released as two EPS, How to Kill in 2006 and Slaughter Daughter in 2007 which were then released as the compilation album Unicorn Steak (2008).
This September the long-awaited and much-debated full-length DIE MANNEQUIN studio album Fino+Blood was released along with a brand new video for the single ‘Bad Medicine.’ But life is not all just suicide and sugar daddies for the Diva of Disaster. DIE MANNEQUIN has been out and doing what they do best: blowing people’s minds live. They have toured Canada and Europe on their own and with acts like Buckcherry, Guns ‘n Roses and Sum 41 and have just finished playing all the Canadian dates for Marilyn Manson’s ‘The High End Of Low’ tour and now they are coming for you. Will you be there?
Though they sound so big and fierce, 2009 Fox Seeds finalist BLACK BETTY is comprised of just two people, drummer/singer Jason Fairley and guitar/vocalist Ana Serena, and they rock hard and heavy with a definite leaning towards the sounds of the seventies.
Featuring former members of Flybanger and other local bands, FALLEN PHOENIX is solid west coast rock with powerful riffs, daunting vocals and arrangements that you can get lost in. Starting as a two-man computer geek music project RAGGEDY ANGRY has evolved into a four-piece live band with catchy riffs, a bold new sound and a penchant for marketing that has the music business all hot, flustered and buzzing.
