COPS FOR CANCER TOUR DE COAST took place on Thursday, September 03, 2009 7:00 PM - 1:00 AM
at Canvas Lounge
in VANCOUVER BC. More details on the event are below.
The Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops For Cancer is a unique community-based event that raises funds for pediatric cancer research and support programs for children with cancer and their families. Some of the funds are designated for Camp Goodtimes, the Society’s acclaimed summer recreation program that it is an unforgettable empowering experience for children with cancer and their families.
Four cycling tours are signature events held in BC every fall. However, more recently, other fundraising activities are also being organized to support Cops For Cancer.
About a hundred committed members of local law enforcement agencies and emergency services fundraise and take part in an arduous week-long cycling tour in four areas of BC. The Tour de Rock takes place on Vancouver Island. The Tour de Valley is held in the Fraser Valley Region. The Tour de Coast is held in Greater Vancouver. The Tour de North is held in northern BC.
Communities, schools and the public get behind the tours by donating in support of a rider or rider event or organizing their own fundraising activities.
