SKLA (SKILLA)

In 2006, DJ Skilla received his first nomination as Vancouver Nightlife Award's TOP 5 Electronica DJs and has been nominated every year since. He finally won the title in 2008. In the same year, his track 'Progress' was voted no. 1 in Pete Tong's Fast Tracks show and was immediately signed to his label - Bedroom Bedlam Records. Shortly after, Skilla released his first tech house track, 'Polyfunk' EP under Swank Logic records.

Bernard worked together with Jens Marquardt at CanThrill to produce Vancouver's premier party, 'Lobby' at Ginger 62. He is a resident there amongst Vancouver's top Electronic DJs. He toured with CanThrill to promote Lobby in Germany/Greece and in the best clubs in the world such as Coccoon Club in Frankfurt, Germany.

2009 is marked as a milestone in Skilla's career. He released his first Solo album, “Retro Tomorrow" (Swank Logic Records) - a compilation of 17 original tracks.

Today Skilla has refined his name to 'SKLA'. This change represents his natural evolution to something greater while not forgetting who he is. He will remain a DJ but will continue the art of producing music and will focus on his next goal: To become one of the world's top music producers.
