The tournament will be held at Rotary Stadium, and already in its first year, Abbotsford International Rugby Sevens has attracted high profile rugby sevens teams from Kenya, United States, and Canada. Spectators will enjoy exciting matches, followed by an awards ceremony and an after party.

This event is highly unusual in its scope and is expected to bring tremendous benefits to the Abbotsford community. A percentage of revenues will be donated to a local charity . It will provide many opportunities for local sport organizations, such as indoor soccer, football and lacrosse. Abbotsford Rugby Sevens is planned to be an annual event.

Pre-festivities begin on July 23, until july 25, 2009. with coaching clinics and select player appearances followed by the Sevens tournament on Saturday, and an after-party in the evening. for people in the lower mainland contact kamau.wanyee@yahoo.ca for transport logistics.
