ONE NIGHT STAND WITH THE CATARACS & DJ HAVOC took place on Thursday, December 18, 2008 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM
at Media Club
in VANCOUVER BC. More details on the event are below.
The biggest thing to come out of Berkeley California since the sexual revolution is hitting the road and invites you to fall in love for just one night. Berkeley natives The Cataracs, joined by San Francisco’s own DJ Havoc, are going to be coming to Vancouver for a sweaty Canadian one-nighter on December 18th at The Media Club.
The Cataracs are Campa & Cyrano. The pair has developed an electro pop sound that combines the dance floor sensibilities of electronic music with pop melodies, a street edge, and east bay swagger. After nearly five years of developing their music and creating a ravenous local following, the Cataracs are ready to take the Cata sound worldwide. Their recent single, “Baby Baby (The Lover’s Anthem)” has climbed to #2 on San Francisco's WILD 94.9’s Top 7. The Cataracs last video "Julia" has just won the "Freshman Video" contest on MTV-U and can be viewed here: http://freshmen.mtvu.com/freshmen_winners
DJ HAVOC was born and raised in San Francisco, grew up to the street common sounds of A.B.C., MC Hammer, Ice Cube, Digital Underground, Public Enemy, and many others. Nearing 2005 Havoc could be found crushing the dance floor at Milk, Club Six, Beauty Bar, 111 Minna, DNA Lounge, Studio Z and many other locations. In late 2007 Havoc moved to Vancouver, Canada to pursue other dreams and aspirations. He made a name for himself in the west end of the downtown area from nightclubs to private events. He could be seen every other Saturday at “Where were you in ‘92” held at the Majestic. Look out for his FREE series of Mixes available online at www.djhavocsf.com
