SKAIs musical career started anno 1994. Soon after the son of Chilean immigrants finished his education as a DJ in Wiesbaden’s Park Café, he consequently was responsible for Saturday’s schedule there. Motownsoul, Danceclassics as well as R’n’B dominated his sets until he became open-minded towards other music-genres and found his passion for electronic music – House and Techno. SKAI’s roots are manifested in the German Rhein-Main-Techno-Scene.

As a result his passion for vinyl arose, which intensified through visits in record-stores in New York and London. 15 years later SKAI is considered as one of the most influential DJs either in the Rhein-Main-Area as well as in the international scene. Gigs in Barcelona, Ibiza, Zurich and Vancouver and of course his residency at the world famous CocoonClub in Frankfurt outline this image. But that is not certainly everything that stands out in SKAIs career. For seven years SKAI directed the fate of the 50degree-Underground-Club as a booker and Resident-DJ and for another eight years he has been one of the headliners for Frankfurts event-agency Envy (ENVY MY MUSIC). Furthermore, he released a bounch of Tracks wit his buddy AMIR as GROOVE REBELS on Labels like Great Stuff, Harthouse, POLO Rec and works on further releases.

But top-notch of SKAI’s career remains his passion for Housemusic, which never impaired even when he slipped into other music-genres in the past. No, through the renaissance of Housemusic especially through labels like Cecille, Below, Connaisseur or Oslo SKAI’s passion for groovy, driving and percussive music appeared – his personal rebirth followed.

Bernard Magale is a dominant force in Vancouver's Electronic scene. Ironically in 2003, he was one of Vancouver's top Hip Hop Promoters but his love for House music lead to his interest to DJ. After several house parties and small shows, he became "DJ SKILLA" and was booked to open for many international DJs in Vancouver.

Bernard worked together with Jens Marquardt at CanThrill to produce Vancouver's premier party, 'Lobby' at Ginger 62. He is a resident there amongst Vancouver's top Electronic DJs. He toured with CanThrill to promote Lobby in Germany/Greece and in the best clubs in the world such as Coccoon Club in Frankfurt, Germany.

2009 is marked as a milestone in Skilla's career. He released his first Solo album, " Retro Tomorrow" (Swank Logic Records) - a compilation of 17 original tracks.

Today, Johnny's musical vision remains true to form: funky, 'beat-full,' rooted in soul. From a beginning in house music, to chunky big room basslines, funk, breaks, progressive, electro, the kitchen sink.... as long as the energy is right. Fever has constantly adopted genres into his repertoire. Being in the right place at the right time has introduced him to some of Vancouver, Seattle and the worlds' most elite DJs producers & promoters providing him with strong business partnerships, lasting friendships, and earning him the opportunities to play and get into the studio on a world class level.

A lot can be said of a person by those around him and in this case DR.FVR's credentials speak for themselves, as he has played along side the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Lee Burridge, Kevin Yost, Jay-J, Sean Cusick, DJ ICEY, Force Mass Motion, Dylan Rhymes, Chris Fortier, Hybrid, Max Graham, Mark Lewis, Luke Fair, DJ Akio, Paranoid Jack, Phil K, Aldrin, Jay Tripwire, Marques Wyatt, The Scumfrog, John 'OO' Fleming, Dirty South, Keoki and DJ Rap.

Most recently, Johnny has had the opportunity to play some very unique gigs, including New York City for Fashion week & Project NY. Taking the nightlife scene to new levels in Seattle, Wa. has also been a major focus. He has teamed with excellent company & become one of the cities most sought after DJs, establishing residencies at See Sound Lounge(nominated for Best Lounge Nationwide), The W Hotel, & Havana among others, while at the same time continuing his partnership with the Don of Vancouver; Nicky Delgado @ Believe- The Red Room & Canvas Lounge. Johnny continues to push his sound forward taking on many different endeavors that you soon will know well.
