Sage: Biography

It’s not difficult to see why Sage is one of Canada's hottest upcoming producers in electronic music at the moment. With a style that constantly drifts between the realms of progressive , techno and electro, Sage’s productions all have one thing in common; they absolutely devastate dance floors! Having mastered his craft as a DJ, the transition from the decks to the studio was inevitable, as is the case with many DJ’s. The difference here is that Sage is one of the few who not only has a natural talent, but a die-hard work ethic allowing all of us to bear the fruits of his labor. Having worked with a variety of artists in the studio, Sage has managed to soak up a bit of their styles to churn into his own giving his sound a constantly evolving nature.



Since early 2008, Sage has pumped out over 20 dirty dance floor bombs on labels such as Don’t Look Productions, Clubstream and Groove Syndicate where he makes a cameo remixing a Jake Chec monster. His more recent works include the Beatport exclusive single “The Tribute” and the “Thinking Dirty” EP on Play Digital where Sage hammers out five filthy cuts including a Deadmau5 remix, ‘Something Inside Me’ featuring Melleefresh on vocals. Watch for the release of Sage's newest remix project's for Play Digital, the Deadmau5's smash hit "Hey Baby" due to be released in the first quater of 2009 followed by a remix of Deadmau5's "Dr. Funkenstein" due out in the summer of 2009.



When it comes to Dj'ing Sage has been active for over 15 years and has shared the stage with industry heavyweights such as Deadmau5, Sharam Jey, Judge Jules, Steve Angello , Martjin Ten Velden, Utah Saints, Satoshi Tomiie, D-Formation, Donald Glaude, and Doc Martin. Playing with the best artists in the world has given Sage confidence and inspiration that he brings to every new project he takes on.



2008 has been a break out year for Sage with tour dates in Mexico, Asia and across Canada while also pumping out 20 releases over seven EP’s many of which landed on the Beatport top 100 charts. Next year is shaping up to be even better as this young and talented producer continues to push himself and his musical discoveries to the limits. Keep a watchful eye for upcoming releases on Play Digital and Don’t Look Productions in Early 2009.

Marty Madsen, a Canadian Resident coming from Calgary, AB, has been rocking the Dj Scene for 12 years. He has come into his own and earned a reputation as one of Canadas most entertaining Dj's, with producing a high energy stage presence, and bringing his own brand of techno to a whole new level. During his career, Marty has opened up and played alongside legendary Dj's such as: Mark EG, Chris Liberator, Z-Trip, Sebastien Leger, Vandalism, Miles Dyson, Wolfgang Gartner and many more. Marty's most recent accomplishments would be playing at the World Electronic Music Festival in Toronto, headlining Summer Breaks in Vancouver, most recently headlining Sweethearts Valentines Day Festival in Portland, OR, and looking forward to performing at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL, in March/09. Now being an international Dj, his success has reflected by working hard in the Studio with Wesley Gauthier while they have been highly motivated and constantly working on new material. With many releases on beatport under play digital records and hitting the top 10 with numerous tracks, Marty is focused and motivated to rock heads & blow minds with his own style of techno.
