We are very pleased to announce for the first time ever, Mother's Federal Hill Grill is teaming up with Lindy Promotions to bring you Baltimore's largest New Year's Eve party ever...MOTHER'S DOWNTOWN COUNTDOWN!! Located in Downtown Baltimore, Hyatt Regency Baltimore is one of Baltimore's premier hotel properties. It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown Baltimore's Inner Harbor and in close proximity to M&T Bank Stadium, the Baltimore Aquarium, Camden Yards and The Maryland Science Center.
THE THEME

THE TICKET
Your all inclusive party ticket will include a 5 hour premium open bar (9pm - 2am), an array of exquisite cuisine, decorations, party favors and access to five party areas.
GREAT SERVICE
With a ratio of one bartender for every 75 guests and 1 buffet station for every 200 guests, you won't spend your New Year's Eve waiting in lines. Capacity is limited to a very comfortable number.
THE CROWD
The event will attract a mid 20's to late 30's crowd, but everyone is welcome and expect a diverse crowd, both ethnically and age-wise. We also attract an even mix of singles and couples. With 5 party areas, the Downtown Countdown will have something for everyone!
THE PARTY AREAS
The Constellation Ballroom will feature three bands and a video DJ on the main stage and will culminate at midnight with a countdown and Baltimore's biggest balloon drop. Baltimore's hottest DJ's will help you dance 2009 away in a nightclub setting located in the Hyatt's Atrium. Mickey's Playhouse, hosted by 98 Rock, will feature 4 comedians in a caberet type lounge and a party cover band, located in the Maryland Suites. The ballroom's pre function area will feature multiple bars and more buffets as well as the chance to get out of the fray. Finally, the Chill Out Lounge is the ideal place to grab a seat while enjoying yet another buffet and take a break from the entertainment. This area has a perfect view of the fireworks!
VIP AREA
For those requiring something a little more special, The Downtown Countdown will be offering an upscale, exclusive V.I.P. ticket which will grant you access to your own floor and entrance to Bistro 300. A limited number of tickets will be available and will sell quickly. The V.I.P. area will offer a more upscale menu with the finest array of liquors, beers, wines and champagnes, an ice luge and a ratio of one bartender per every 50 guests....plus an extra hour of open bar (8pm - 2am)!! The VIP ticketholder will also enjoy exclusive entertainment in the VIP party area, as well as their own registration, will call, bathrooms and complimentary coat check. Additionally, there are a limited number of party suites (think Vegas cabanas) for groups of 20 - 100 which include a roped off area, complete with your own bartenders. DETAILS
You must be 21 or older to attend the event. Dress is formal, creative black tie, optional...kind of like MTV Music Awards. We expect it to be fun not stuffy! So...for guys - jacket and tie or tux, funky preferred & for girls- cocktail or formal dresses, with creativity encouraged!
Please keep in mind, in order to maximize the fun potential, the regular party ticket areas offer very limited seating. While there is some seating available in each of the party areas, there is not seating for every guest. There is, however, a much higher percentage of seating per guest in the VIP areas.

To kick off the evening, New York's very own Boogie Knights will take the stage to get you moving and grooving to the best the 1970's had to offer...Complete in their bellbottoms and afro wigs, be prepared to enjoy the best funk, soul, R&B and disco!
THE REAL GENIUSES 10:45 - 11:45pm
The Real Geniuses are absolute party czars and purveyors of the best, catchiest, most funnestest, '80's songs you ever heard. They are not "just a cover band", because they infuse all those songs you've winced to, drunkenly sung along to using your thumb for a mic, or drank wine coolers at the pool at midnight to, with a militant bravado and derring-do that makes them seem brand-new. The Real Geniuses have honed their musical and technical skills while playing regularly for huge crowds of all ages at weddings, private functions, and on the Baltimore/DC club circuit.

Young M.C. was born in South Wimbledon, London, England but raised in Queens. After graduating from Hunter College High School in New York City, he moved to California to attend the University of Southern California. He graduated in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in economics. In 1989, Young M.C. rose to prominence with his hit "Bust a Move", from his debut album Stone Cold Rhymin', which won the second Grammy Award for "Best Rap Recording" at the 1990 Grammy Awards, during the golden age of hip hop.
VIDEO DJ CRUZ 9pm - 2am
A Baltimore native, Jason Polling, AKA, DJ Cruz will be on the ones and twos on the main stage to kick off the night and then keep the crowd moving in between the band sets. With a high energy mix of dance, house, hip hop and all the party classic, DJ Crus will be mixing in videos on two giant screens on both sides of the stage. You will be able to see the live feed from Times Square as we countdown the new year!
ATRIUM - DJ AND DANCING
DJ KOPEC 9:00pm - 2:00am
Dominating the Baltimore music scene and infusing every event with his seemingly infinite energy, DJ Kopec has captivated the market. Selected in 2008 to perform at Baltimore Magazine’s “Baltimore’s Best 2008”, DJ Kopec’s passion, enthusiasm and particularly charming personality sets him apart. DJ Kopec is currently the official DJ for Under Armour Performance Apparel and the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders. DJ Kopec will take over the entire atrium for the entire night which will peak at midnight when you will be able to enjoy Baltimore's fireworks display through the glass windows overlooking the harbor.
THE MARYLAND SUITES - MICKEY'S PLAYHOUSE - THE 98 ROCK COMEDY CIRCUS

Vs. the Earth is a rock act from the mid-atlantic region that has a unique sound. They combine guitar-driven rhythm, real lyrical content, and infectious hook and melody to make a musical style unequaled in the region. Their exciting stage presence and high energy live set make them an act not to be missed.
After her first appearance at The Baltimore Comedy Factory in 2007, Alex's career took off. Since, she has performed at a variety of venues, ranging from the Washington, DC Improv to The Arlington Cinema 'N' Drafthouse. It was there that Alex performed with comedy goddess Maria Bamford. Alex has since performed with the hilarious Pablo Francisco at numerous Funny Bone Comedy Clubs along the east coast.
Justin Schlegel 11:15 - 11:30pm
Justin Schlegel is one of the fastest rising stars in the Baltimore/DC comedy scene. He has a comedy style so wild and outrageous, you can't help but wait to see what pops out of his mouth next. His friendly demeanor with just a touch of paranoid schizophrenia is a huge hit with all audiences, especially paranoid schizophrenics (they have so few heroes...).
COMEDIAN #3 11:30 - 11:40pm
MICKEY 11:40 - Midnight
Mickey Cucchiella is one of the fastest-rising stars to hit the comedy scene in a long time. His sometimes angry, stream of consciousness delivery, superimposed over his Catholic schoolboy persona, is winning over every audience he faces. Mickey's unique style is hard to pinpoint, although some have said he's an interesting cross between Sam Kinison, Dennis Leary, and Billy Idol. Mickey has been practicing comedy since birth. He figured an easy way to not have to "work" was to make people laugh. Well, years later he still doesn't have a mainstream job and prefers to make everyone he meets laugh their guts out. Mickey is one of the very few comics who will not compromise on his acts, and has proven it over and over again. 98 Rock's own Mickey from the Mickey and Amelia show will not only emcee the evening's comedians, he will perform. Look for a band to entertain in between the comedian's shows. Try not to bust a rib laughing too hard!
