Heroes for the Homeless
Since December 2006, Heroes for the Homeless has been quietly helping the most vulnerable of the homeless in King County by distributing emergency and longer-term food, hygiene products, and other survival supplies.
Volunteers travel by car and on foot to bring assistance to those sleeping on the streets of Seattle and surrounding communities in doorways, alleys, parks, at bus stops, inside and underneath trash receptacles, under viaducts, bridges, highway overpasses, in abandoned buildings, encampments, and inside makeshift homes constructed of cardboard.
Our goal is to help the homeless individuals we serve maintain their dignity and independence. We support clients by providing them with the basic needs that help them stay independent and out of the criminal justice system.
Monthly outreach serves an average of 700 individuals.Think of going to recess as a child and all of the things you could do on the playground. We have incorporated the same in to the nightlife setting. Whether you enjoy live music, dancing, fine art, comedians, fashion or DJ's you will find them all in the same place on the same night. Now isn't that Rad!
