Doug Benson
Doug Benson is stand-up comedian and actor known for his marijuana references on TV, in his podcasts, and at comedy clubs across the nation.
Besides finishing in the top six of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Benson has his own documentary called Super High Me based on a joke from his standup act. Doug was a series regular on four seasons of VH-1’s Best Week Ever and continues to make recurring appearances on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. He also has two Comedy Central Presents half-hour specials. As for TV guest appearances, Doug hit on Jennifer Aniston on the classic sitcom Friends, is a character on The Sarah Silverman Program, and got Larry David in a headlock on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, talk about leaving an impression. If that is not enough, he’s a creator, writer and star on The Marijuana-Logues, a show that's been a hit (small pun intended) in clubs and theatres and drew rave reviews. The Marijuana-Logues is now a CD, also and a book called “The Marijuana-Logues: Everything About Pot That We Could Remember.”
High Times Magazine named Doug Benson “Stoner of the Year” in 2006! Now Doug has four CD’s out on Comedy Central Records: Unbalanced Load, Hypocritical Oaf, Potty Mouth and Smug Life. And Doug’s long-running Comedy Central series, The Benson Interruption, was recently turned into a live podcast. He continues to express his love of movies on his Doug Loves Movies podcasts available on iTunes.
