Having just wrapped a Canadian arena tour supporting Metric this November, STARS promptly decamped to Europe to continue the musical journey of their latest and greatest album, The North. Released on September 4, 2012, The North debuted #5 on the Soundscan Album Chart and #3 on the Digital Albums Chart in Canada – marking the highest debuts for the band in their career. They also earned a Top 50 Album Chart debut in the U.S.
Today, STARS announce international, headline tour dates beginning in February through to April 2013, and taking the quintet to Australia, Asia, the U.S. and back through Canada, with some very special ‘themed’ back-to-back plays in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. The double-play shows dubbed the “Evenings Of Sex & Death” speak to the recurring and ever-present themes of sex and death that span the albums of the group’s storied career. Each evening will be built with a special set list in mind.
