Jung People- Tour Kick Off
with Diatessaron & Mid-Atlantic
Jung People is an Instrumental duo based out of Calgary, AB. Although musical partners for almost a decade, Jung People formed in late 2010 after founding members Bryan Buss (Guitar/FX/ETC) and Giordano W. Bassi (Drums/Samples/ETC) studied abroad at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. They have been classified under Progressive/Post-rock but blur the lines between many genres as far as Folk, Jazz, and Experimental.
Bassi and Buss, inspired by the Brown Dog Riots" and the state of the “environment vs. humanity”, released their second LP titled “Tenterhooks” on Dec 10th 2011, dedicated to animals hurt by or lost to the human path.
The future of Jung People is to donate all income from album sales in order to create a residual income for an environmental or animal rights society.
The duo has been hired to score the soundtrack to Calgary Filmmaker Thomas Robert Lee’s Sci-Fi infused drama Transcendence slated for a 2013 release.
Having escaped from a prison in sector Z48 through a inter dimensional portal the young men of Diatessaron have decided to start their lives a new as prog rockers. Using their knowledge of the fabric of reality and the nature of being they wield their instruments with the precision of lazer scalpels.
Starting the night off we have the instrumental post-rock styling of Mid-Atlantic. With influences ranging from classical, to blues and metal they've kept their sound organic and engaging.
