DJ/producer Mike Remedy has honed his skills for the last 12 years, prescribing house music to the masses. From his days as a teen making a weekly trek from New Jersey into New York to dig for records, the sounds of the city shaped his style of smooth, flawless transitions and meticulous track selections. Injecting the dance floor with a high dose of energy, Remedy’s beats are heavy on house with room for the best in electro, funk and progressive sounds from the U.S. and abroad.
Remedy’s accolades include winning the E! DJ contest and Moon Nightclub’s Local Love DJ contest. He was dubbed “Las Vegas’ Next Big Thing” by Blush Boutique Nightclub, “Rising Star DJ” of 2010 by Las Vegas Weekly and was nominated for “Best House DJ” in the 2011 Las Vegas Industry Awards. These achievements helped him gain a coveted spot at Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto party inside Rain as well as his most recent residencies at Marquee and Pure. He can also be heard live in the mix regularly on Vegas’ #1 hit music station 98.5 KLUC. His talent has also garnered gigs alongside superstar DJs including Armin van Buuren, Avicii, Dirty South, Fatboy Slim, Kaskade and Roger Sanchez .
Remedy’s skills aren’t limited to the booth. He is half of the Vegas-based duo Down2Funk, along with production partner PJ Produkt. Their club-banger “Last Night in Vegas” is in heavy club rotation and has received support from top-ranking American DJs. The track has been signed to 9G Records and will be released on April 1. Remedy has been signed as a solo artist to the label along with Down2Funk.
In just five short years Remedy has made a name for himself in Las Vegas, and it’s only a hint of what’s to come for the man who’s got the cure for ailing dancefloors.
