Motion Notion Festival 2013
July 25, 2013 To July 29, 2013
Entry and Exit Rules
No early arrivals, you will be made to wait in line if you arrive early. The gates open at 12-noon on Thursday July 25 2013 for regular attendees. Every attendee must read and sign the waiver before entering the festival. After the festival, please vacate the site by 12-noon on Monday, July 29. Do not drive if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or very sleep deprived. Event runs rain or shine. Front-gate operates 24hrs per day. Front-gate staff cannot hold tickets for people, grant temporary access, make additions or changes to the guest list, or bargain with the price. Wristbands supplied at gate must be worn at all times. People without wristbands may be removed or banned from the event and/or forced to pay for a ticket. Children aged 12 and under are free but must be accompanied by a responsible parent or legal guardian who agrees to take on full responsibility for the child's welfare. Only purchase tickets from authorized ticket outlets or trustworthy individuals. There may be fraudulent or stolen tickets that will not be accepted. Ticket numbers, security features and barcodes will be checked on entry to ensure tickets are valid. No refunds for any tickets. A $20 vehicle fee will be charged to each vehicle every time it enters the festival including the first time. Motion Notion reserves the right to refuse entry, remove people from the property, or change the rules at any time.
Guest-List
Guest-list inclusion must be confirmed by a Katalyst Events/Motion Notion manager (Lisa Charlesworth, James Katalyst, or Kevin Harper) in writing or email before July 15. Its best to bring printed email conversations as proof of guest-list inclusion in case of any problems at the gate. No other person or group has the authority to add names to the guest-list other than the one of these three people. Picture ID is required on entry to confirm each guest's or performer's identity. We prefer each performer and his/her guest arrive in the same vehicle or at the same time. If a performer's guest will arrive in a separate vehicle or separate time from the performer one of the managers needs to be given that guest's full name via email prior to July 15. No changes can be made after July 15 or at the gate. Anyone not on the guest-list will need to pay the full entry fee or present a valid ticket to be granted entry. People who were "supposed to be on the guest-list" but were forced to pay in error should ask for a receipt and will be given a refund after the event if they mail the receipt and explanation to the Motion Notion office at 305 4625 Varsity Drive NW, Calgary, AB, T3A 0Z9 within 30 days.

Brianne O’Connor Is BreO, a talented DJ and vocalist who fell in love with electronic music when it first graced her ears 12 years ago. At that time, Brianne had no idea she would become so involved with the electronic music scene.
Upon her move to the Okanagan from the Yukon, Brianne was determined to pursue her passion for this style of music. Starting off as a vocalist in 2005, Brianne became involved in an all-girl music collective called “FlyDjs” based in Kelowna, BC. This all-girl collective held weekly DJ lessons for women in the Okanagan and performed at many events including the Radgalz charity fashion show at Big White in 2006.
Already involved in the electronic music community, it wasn’t long before Brianne would decide to try her hand at DJing. Since receiving her first set of turntables on her 19th birthday, “BreO” has rocked dance floors in the Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and in 2011, she performed across the border in Spokane, Washington.
Some of BreO's larger scale Dj performances include Shambhala 2011, where she was given an opportunity to slay the decks of the Village stage, and Subculture hosted by PK Sound in Calgary, Alberta. With her high-energy performances and killer track selection, a DJ set by BreO is not to be missed!
