Our friend and the spiders
Our Friend & The Spiders existe depuis 2008 et est composé de Mathieu Morin (voix, guitares et claviers), Sébastien Rodriguez (guitares et voix), Pascal Sauvageau (basse, voix et claviers) et Phil Grant (batterie et voix). Ils ont enregistré Walk me Out en un peu plus de vingt jours au studio Deadwood dans les Laurentides, avec l’aide de Sébastien Rivard (mix, prise de son et réalisation). « Ce temps de studio nous a permis d’essayer différentes choses et d’explorer, chose qu’on n’avait pas eu le temps de faire avec le EP. On avait beaucoup de matériel et d’instruments à notre portée et on ne s’est pas gêné pour expérimenter », mentionne Sébastien Rodriguez. Et à travers ces expérimentations, ils ont réussi à trouver leur son qui est, somme toute, assez propre. Est-il trop propre ? Mathieu Morin répond à cela : C’est pas trop léché, c’est travaillé ! Et si quelqu’un nous dit que c’est trop travaillé, surtout en fonction du temps qu’on avait, je vais le prendre comme un compliment.
Le Trouble
Le Trouble are the product of an unlikely meeting of a Quebec-born guitarist/songwriter and a freshly arrived Australian singer from the city of Jamberoo. Backed by a close-knit group of friends from Montreal who have cut their teeth in bands together throughout their youth, they released "Reality Strikes" (2012), a collection of guitar-driven pop tunes recorded live.
