Bumaranga and typical drums ablaze Balattou Club for an evening of Afro-Colombian. Seven musicians and a contingent of Colombian sounds with African influences are the main ingredients of Bumaranga’s presentation, colombo-Quebec group led by Colombian musician Juan Sebastian Quiros.
Cumbia, puya, mapale, are among those rhythms Bumaranga interpret, to Montreal audiences dancing and with whom they wish well invade across Canada in 2012.
Bumaranga offers a mix of percussion and flutes typically Colombian with a modern twist, made by the electric guitar and bass. The result is a fusion of sounds that maintains the roots and essence of Afro Colombian.
