Authentic and crossover Indian Dance Music (Bollywood & Bhangra) with dance lessons, dance performances and LIVE singing make Jai Ho! an experience where anyone and everyone joins the fun and dances, regardless of age, culture or nationality.
The man behind Jai Ho! is the multitalented performer and DJ - Prashant, hailing from Mumbai, India. This exuberant and charismatic entertainer performs for the audience and even leads the crowd in dance routines, all of this while he is spinning electronic Indian dance music seamlessly. It makes for an experience that is well beyond just a dance party.

Celebrated as one of the most exuberant & energetic Bollywood Entertainers of North America, Prashant has moved masses, from kids to elders across both coasts of America including in New York City, Washington D.C., Virginia, L.A., Bay Area, Seattle and Portland. A Cornell Graduate and ex- Intel Engineer, Prashant quit his engineering profession to follow his true passion for entertainment. Flashforward three years, Prashant is now a Bollywood Singer, Choreographer, and DJ, spinning an eclectic mix of Indian dance music to packed houses nationwide. Prashant hosts the popular Jai Ho! Dance Party every third Saturday in Seattle at Chop Suey & last Saturday in Portland at Holocene.
With dance lessons, performance & LIVE singing blended into his seamless DJ sets, a dance party featuring Prashant is an experience compelling anyone and everyone to dance. The charismatic entertainer Prashant performs for the audience and even leads the crowd in dance routines thereby transforming the event from a dance party into a Bollywood Musical! As a dance teacher, Prashant has taught beginner & advanced Bollywood and Bhangra classes at PCC, PSU, Reed College at universities as well as NWDP, Center for Movement Arts & Euphoria studios professionally. He currently teaches at StudioNia in Portland & occasionally in Seattle.
Prashant has a deep passion for Hindustani Classical singing & has taken lessons in both Indian & Western Classical singing. He is the lead singer for Pancham as well as MC for Tarana – two popular Bollywood bands in Portland.
