Raices, Cana y Son

Raices, Caña Y Son vibrates within the traditional instruments of Colombian music. Bandola, tiple and requinto were requisitioned by the group in order to invoke the rich musical heritage of Colombia. It is by mixing traditional and contemporary arrangements that Raices, Caña Y Son take part in the chain of transmission of South America's oral folklore. To carry out it's project, the group dig's into the cultural heritage of its members, from Colombia, Quebec, or Haiti. As many different colors found throughout Quebec's land to grow and flourish.
Whit a very strong collective spirit, the group draws on the rich experience of each member, musicians who rely on the international stage, among the staunchest supporters of the Latin musical culture. A fight that can be summarized in three words: roots (Raices), sugarcane (Cana) and sound (Sound).
