"When one hears Gavyn Bailey's voice, it's hard to believe that the 13-year-old from Laguna Niguel doesn't have a recording contract." - Joanna Clay (Coastline Pilot) Gavyn Bailey was born on May 29th 1998, in Laguna Niguel, California. He was born with chronic kidney failure and at the age of three, he got a kidney transplant. "He started humming songs at the age of two and from right then on, we knew he would be doing something with singing," his mother said in an interview. Growing up, Gavyn would sing and put on shows for the nurses at the hospital during his long stays as a child due to the post-transplant effects. In the first grade, he sang "God Bless America" in front of his school, from then on the rest was history as they say. Gavyn recorded his first song at the age of ten at a local studio and had his first gig shortly after at a bar in Newport Beach, called Muldoons. Four years later, now fourteen, Gavyn is now working on an EP, and has been performing at many shows such as the House of Blues at downtown Disney. Gavyn is planning a tour for the Summer of 2012 but is not yet confirmed. "I've just been doing music my whole life, if I didn't have music it would be a totally different story.
