Moguai’s expertise and successes haven’t just been confined to his studio work though. As thousands of fans from all corners of the globe will attest, he truly is a technical wizard behind the decks. Throughout 2011 he has demonstrated performance flair to exquisite effect; with a hugely successful US tour, a jam-packed Asian excursion and a smattering of colossal European festivals under his belt already, there have been very few stones left unturned when it comes to his Lyve showdowns.
The year 2010 was one that will be remembered as a year of change, development and advancement in both life and in culture.Perhaps this is part of the reason for the phenomenal rise of Andre Tegeler, better known to the dance community as Moguai.A far-reaching and highly respected DJ on his homegrown German circuit, it could also be argued that you only get out what you put in - with this case, Moguai has fully reaped the rewards of a hard working ethos and highly honed production sound, firmly establishing himself as a One to Watch for 2011 and a rapidly growing worldwide fan-base.
In between the worldwide release of his debut album WE AR LYVE (the first non-Deadmau5 album released on the rodent Mau5trap imprint), and turning out high profile remixes for the likes of famous boffin Moby and ambient minor-tone masters of chill Royksopp, Moguai has been constantly touring, honoring a packed schedule which has seen him twice head over to the US and Asian continents as well as wowing Europe wide audiences and parties with his unavoidable energy, selection and persona.
The demand for Moguai and his newly formed LYVE setup has been represented fully over the past 3 months, planning, devising and creating quality tracks like they're letters of the alphabet. 2010 saw him release Dynamik on Mau5trap with global house sensation Michael Woods, remix classic dance stalwarts Moonbeam, hold the biggest competition that DJ Download ever participated in and more recently, releasing his most accomplished and popular track to date - '8001 / Stay Planetary', which made the playlist of Pete Tong's Essential Selection show and covered by a flurry of tastemaker press and magazines including a front cover on Raveline magazine. For further proof check out the Beatport stats: several positioning's in the overall chart with singles 8001, Oyster and Nyce - and reaching No.1 in the progressive house chart - the boy wonder is fully deserving of his ascending status as Germany's premier breakthrough house DJ.
Wippenberg
Genre-warping electronic music adventurer Wippenberg (a.k.a. Olaf Dieckmann) has been supplying the world’s dancefloors with audio titans for close to 15 years. Most recently renowned for his neoclassical- anthems "Chakalaka“ and "Pong“, later receiving IDMA 2010 nomination as Best Progressive House Track alsongside David Guetta and Deadmau5. Wippenberg’s music hazes the multiple boundaries of house, electro, trance and techno. This unique composite electronic blend is now spun by the widest imaginable cross-section of DJs. He’s championed as much by Eric Prydz, Angelo, Ingrosso & Axwell as he is by Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta. This casts Wippenberg as one of, if not, the most diverse DJ/producer in today’s EDM universe. The project Wippenberg started in 1995 as a simple side-project, with its first release Neurodancer on the German underground label Hyper Hype Records. Olaf Dieckmann – a German producer and dj, who made his first steps as a teenager in the early eighties in the EBM scene – created a big and worldwide club-tune with the hymn Neurodancer, which was f.e. licensed in UK to the genius techno label Prolekult.
Wippenbergs first release Neurodancer is still a respected club track, which you can find on many vinyl-wholesaler-lists as one of the-most-wanted-sold-out-records!
In the following years Olaf worked on several other studio-projects, produced many well-known djs and artists and hit the world wide charts, so that there was not much time for new Wippenberg sound-material.
But finally in 1999 he got a remix-request from the act Ian Van Dahl for their first release Castles In The Sky and so the whole project Wippenberg kicked back! Olaf received a lot of positive feedback on this remix and so it happened that ATB and Blank & Jones knocked on his door. With the remixes of Atb Let U Go And Blank & Jones Nightclubbing he creates again a big international hype around the project Wippenberg and his special uplifting sound. A lot of remixes followed for example for Fragma, Marc Et Claude, Green Court, Dance Nation, Nbg and the legendary DJ Tiesto. So now you can imagine that his remixes can be found in many, many dj cases and dj playlists! He really rocks!
In the meantime Olaf belongs to Germans finest techno- and trance-producers. His project Wippenberg and his chart acts are all well-known for their own style and high quality production all over the world.
End of 2003 he finally found the time to concentrate upon and to finish his second single release the Wippenberg Elemental Ep 1/2, including the progressive-hymn Fire and the trance-smasher Water.
After a small vip-mailout to some international key-djs the feedback and the support was massive. The EP gains a lot respect from many DJs worldwide – like f.e. Judge Jules, Johan Gielen, Dumond, Blank & Jones, John Askew, Marcel Woods, Cosmic Gate, Lange, Tatana, Ernesto Vs. Bastian, DJ Shah, DJ Choose and many more.
In May 2003 Olaf found his own label Touched By Sound Records And Prepared The Official Release Of The Wippenberg Elemental Ep 1/2.
