2009-2010 Medicine Man
The first studio lp by Streetkind was produced by Ron Saint Germain at his home in Kinnelon, New Jersey. The album has a distinct rock feel and a raw, stripped down Saint Germain sound. Streetkind performed Medicine Man throughout the country focusing on south Florida. In August of 2009 Streetkind toured the Los Angeles strip playing landmark venues such as The Whiskey A Go Go, The Roxy, and The Viper Room. In mid 2010 Messina entered the studio once again to begin production on Streetkind’s second lp. 2011 Ocean Grown The second album has a decidedly different feel focusing on a more modern and soulful vibe. The album was recorded at Cherokee Studios in Miami, Florida. Ocean Grown was produced by gifted Miami Native Fred Vindver. Messina found Vindver to be ideal for the music he had been developing and the two spent 18 months in production. Ocean Grown was mixed by legend Jimmy Douglass “the senator”.
