Melo-D, began his DJ career in 1990 as a member of the DJ Group Modern Muzique based in Cerritos CA In 1992 he officially joined the Beat Junkie crew, and immediately began to conquering a variety of performances linked to his name is the prestigious fight titles Vestax USA Champion (1995) Vestax World Champion (1995) and the honor of Vestax Team World Champion (1996 Moreover, Melo-D, together with a number of very talented musicians of the Beat Junkie crew caught prominent International Turntablist Federation (ITF) World Championship titles in 1997 and 1998, Beat Junkies is the first and only tape decks to capture and defend the title this celebrated two years in a row.
OB One
You may have seen the MTV special True Life: I'm a Muay Thai Fighter, which chronicled the times of Ben Garcia as he trained and traveled to Thailand for a bare knuckle championship. While the experience and win was a huge honor, the more accessible-to-an-MTV-audience portion of the show dealt with his alter-identity, the versatile and sought-after DJ OB-One.
Raised on healthy helpings of rock and hip hop, embraced by punk, groomed through drum & bass, and enamored with reggae, its 15 years in the game and DJ OB-One possesses the skills and selection to deliver you an auditory beating.
Originally hailing from Chicago, OB-One moved to Las Vegas over 2 decades ago with his eye on the nightclub industry, then in its infancy. He made his bones as the resident at the first nightclub to reach legendary status in Sin City, Baby's inside the Hard Rock Hotel, and from there its been a week-in-week-out passion. He's played at every hot spot in Las Vegas, and the frequent jaunts to Los Angeles, New York, and Canada have put his name on the lips of every person of note in the nightlife industry. He's also touched millions over the airwaves with his radio career starting at Wild 102 then moving on to Las Vegas' heritage station, KLUC. He refuses to stop there & has moved into the production game. His current project w/his partner J.Paul, HavocNdeeD, is quickly becoming a household name in the electronic world of dubstep, drum-n-bass, & glitch/idm.
For the last 6 years, OB-One has aligned himself with the illustrious N9NE Group, with current residencies at all of their venues inside the Palms Casino including the world's only Playboy Club. On the hottest nights, you can find him serving songs to nightclub divas and high rollers or frenzied bass hungry ravers alike. This has placed him in the limelight, rising high above the masses of Las Vegas's over-saturated DJ game.
