Last years Hot 97/BET Caribana Party was the summers hottest party featuring Platinum Recording Roc Nation Artist J COLE alongside DJ DRAMA "Mr. Thanksgiving"

This year, the HOT 97/BET 2012 Party is celebrating it's 12th Anniversary. On Sunday August 5th, 2012, more than 20 of North America's top Hip Hop, R&B, Soca/Calypso, and Reggae artists are set to DJ and perform the hottest tracks in music today. This year’s Caribana event is so big, the entire Guvernment Complex is devoted to it. Room include Kool Haus (normally considered a separate venue), CHROMA, Haven, Surface, Acid Lounge, and of course the spacious rooftop patio Skybar.   

Year after year, the Hot 97/BET Party has been the main event of Caribana weekend, always with a crowd of over 5000 people.  Past hosts have included Young Jeezy, Big Tigger, Serani, Ron Brownz, Baby Cham, Fat Man Scoop, Shaquille O’Neal, Lil X, Dru, Dj Enuff, J Cole and Jazzy T.  Dj's set to play this year’s Sunday Caribana festivities include DJ Enuff, iLL Kidz, Spex, Fire Kid Steenie, and DJ Clymaxxx, not to mention, several additional "big name" acts are set to sign up for the 12^th anniversary.

Hot Tip: With beautiful weather (and August always makes good on this promise) the Skybar (Guvernment's roof top patio) is the place to be on this night. This open air lounge is one of Toronto 's most intoxicating spaces to party.  Imagine over looking the water on one side with the city's sky line just behind the other, beautiful people dancing & grinding, numerous V.I.P bottler service cabanas to enjoy your own space, and several bars serving your favourite drinks.
