Hailing from the urban precincts of Toronto spilling onto the world stage comes DJ Christopher Michaels. As one of the countries most respected DJs, Chris Mikes has an uncanny ability to move effortlessly between diverse musical styles. He is one of the few DJs who can successfully dominate parties for both mature and young clientele. He has played at virtually all venues in Toronto catering to these crowds and has held residencies at classic Toronto hot spots such as Studio 69 and Fluid Lounge. He can currently be found at the Brant House every Thursday and Saturday where he has been rocking to sold out crowds for the last 7 years.
This multi-award winning DJ began his commercial radio career in 2001 by co-hosting the all-old school mix show, Reflections, helping to launch Canada’s first urban radio staion FLOW 93.5FM. “Your Girlfriend’s Favorite DJ” was the resident mixshow DJ on weekend afternoons at Flow for 10 years. His show – The ChrisMix, captured the attention of listeners across the city and online around the world. With a growing listener-ship his following continues to intensify, putting Christopher Michaels on 2011’s most sought after list. With followings in Toronto, New York, LA and overseas the British born DJ continues his ambush on the urban and house markets. With a career spanning over two decades, Chris Mikes has developed within what is undoubtedly a fickle scene, always keeping his finger on the pulse, entertaining new ideas whilst developing old ones. He never fails to execute and reads a crowd in a way that is rarely equaled, knowing exactly where and how to take the night through the roof.
