He is certainly the favorite of the gay community; his mixing skill combined with a knack for sophisticated combinations of vocal house, progressive electro-rhythms, anthems, pounding tribal-beats and high-energy covers have a flair for the dramatic. Harmonix is a firm believer that the dance floor should be flavored with all our emotional ups and downs including all of the little nuances in between that are so true to our lives.
DJ Harmonix has held many continuous residencies and re-occurring guest spots over the last decade – he has rocked the major clubs and events held in Miami, Seattle, Portland, Vegas and Vancouver B.C. This last year his emergence on the national circuit scene was most heartfelt and welcomed after winning the nomination of the National Gay and Lesbian Taskforce at the 2008 Winter Party Festival in Florida. He currently is the primary resident DJ at the Cuff Complex in Seattle WA and maintains a residency at The Red Cap Garage in Portland OR.
For 5 years, Harmonix continued to spin the largest circuit event in the Northwest; The Portland Red Dress Party - now in its 9th year. The 2008 Red Dress Party brought an energetic and eager crowd which totaled over 2400 people and included surprise guest Chelsea Clinton, who made a point to meet Harmonix and get one of his mixes.
Always toiling, weaving a relentless score that reveals dark brooding songs of desire, lust and heartbreak, his sets progress into heart-opening, uplifting, hands-in-the-air anthems.
